# Connect Cursor to DataDoe

Connect Cursor to DataDoe to ask questions about your Amazon data or build reports and dashboards. You can sign in to DataDoe from Cursor or its Cloud Agents.

## Before you start

- A DataDoe account with your Amazon accounts connected.
- A Cursor account you can sign in to.

## Step 1: Add the DataDoe server

### In the Cursor app

Add this entry to `~/.cursor/mcp.json` for all projects, or `.cursor/mcp.json` for one project. Keep any existing server entries.

Open Cursor's MCP settings and check that DataDoe appears. Reload the window if needed.

### For Cursor Cloud Agents

1. Open [Cursor Cloud Agents](https://cursor.com/agents).
2. Open the MCP dropdown and add a custom HTTP server.
3. Enter `DataDoe` as the name and paste this server address.

Team admins can also add a shared server under **Dashboard** → **Plugins & MCPs**. Each person signs in to DataDoe separately.

## Step 2: Sign in to DataDoe

1. Use Cursor's sign-in or connection prompt for DataDoe.
2. In your browser, sign in with your DataDoe account for the Organization you want to use.
3. Return to Cursor and check that DataDoe's tools are available.

You do not need a DataDoe MCP key for this OAuth connection.

## Step 3: Test the connection

Ask Cursor:

Use DataDoe to list my connected Amazon accounts.
```

Then try:

```
Use DataDoe to show my Amazon Seller Central sales for the last 7 days.
```

Name the Amazon account or marketplace if you manage more than one.

## Connect with an MCP key instead

You can still use a DataDoe MCP key in Cursor. Create one in [DataDoe MCP Integrations](https://app.datadoe.com/integrations/mcp), then add it to your server entry:

Replace `YOUR_DATADOE_MCP_KEY` with your key. Do not commit it to a shared project. For a local config, Cursor supports `"datadoe-mcp-key": "${env:DATADOE_MCP_KEY}"` when that environment variable is available to the app.

## If you need help

If sign-in fails, check the full server address and retry the connection. For OAuth, remove any old `datadoe-mcp-key` header from the server entry first. If a team policy blocks the server, ask your Cursor team admin to allow it.

If the connection works but returns no data, check your DataDoe Organization and Amazon connections, then ask Cursor to use DataDoe explicitly.
