Using PowerPoint with DataDoe MCP

This guide shows how to use DataDoe MCP in Microsoft PowerPoint through the Claude add-in, so you can add Amazon data to presentations without leaving PowerPoint.

Before you start: This guide assumes you have already connected DataDoe MCP to Claude. If you haven't done that yet, see Using Claude first.

Set up the Claude add-in for Microsoft 365

• Follow the steps in the Claude for Microsoft 365 documentation (opens in a new tab) to install the Claude add-in and sign in with your Microsoft account.
• After you install the add-in, it appears in the PowerPoint ribbon. You can open it from any presentation.

Start a conversation in PowerPoint

1. Open a presentation in PowerPoint.
2. Select the Claude icon in the ribbon to open the Claude side panel.
3. Make sure DataDoe is listed as an active connector in the Claude panel. If it is missing, re-add it following the Using Claude guide.
4. Type your prompt in the chat input and press Enter.

Note: In a new conversation, Claude may not see the DataDoe connector straight away. If that happens, ask Claude to refresh connectors.

Create a sales report

Prompt:

Use the DataDoe connector to create a concise presentation about this month's Amazon performance. Include a KPI overview, a sales-by-day chart, and a slide with the top 10 products by revenue. Keep the deck clean, business-focused, and suitable for sharing with stakeholders.
