Amazon Marketing Cloud, inside the AI you already use

Ask Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor which products win new customers or which campaigns work together. DataDoe runs the AMC query on your own instance, brings the result back and puts it next to your sales, profit and ad data.

Quick answer

What is Amazon Marketing Cloud?

Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) is Amazon Ads’ clean room. Each advertiser gets a private instance, built on AWS Clean Rooms, where SQL runs over pseudonymized ad exposures and purchases, and only aggregated results come out. It shows what a single campaign report cannot: which ads brought in new customers, which campaigns work together, and what shoppers buy next.

DataDoe connects that instance to your AI client and the REST API. Your AI runs a ready-made report or writes its own SQL, checks it before it runs, schedules the reports that should repeat, and reads each result in the same conversation as your Seller Central, Vendor Central and Amazon Ads data.

Most templates use the data every AMC instance has. Three need Amazon Insights, a paid AMC feature you subscribe to in Amazon’s console, and your AI checks that before anything runs. Results follow Amazon’s 14-day attribution window and privacy thresholds, so small accounts can get fewer rows.

How a query runs

From question to result, without the console.

DataDoe signs in to your AMC instance, sends the query, waits for Amazon and hands the result to your AI. The same steps work from the REST API, so a script or a scheduled job can run them too.

  • Checked first. Your AI validates the query before it runs. Validation is free and does not count against Amazon’s daily limit.
  • Run by Amazon. AMC queries usually take a quarter of an hour or more; simple counts can finish in under a minute. Your AI checks back and picks up the file.
  • Scheduled when it repeats. Amazon allows 30 on-demand runs a day per instance. A saved workflow with a schedule runs outside that limit.
  • Read only. AMC queries and workflows never change your campaigns, bids or listings.

One AMC instance, two places to work.

DataDoe does not replace AMC. It runs your queries on the same instance, from the AI client where the rest of your Amazon work already happens.

The console fits when

you build audiences, run AMC for one brand and are happy to work in Amazon’s interface.

DataDoe fits when

you want AMC answers in Claude or ChatGPT, judged against sales and profit, for one brand or many client brands, and on a schedule.

For brands and agencies

Your own AMC instance, or one in your agency’s account.

Brands connect the self-service instance of their Sponsored Ads account, the same one the AMC console uses. If it does not exist yet, DataDoe creates it after you confirm. Amazon asks the Ads login to accept the AMC terms once per region.

Agencies with an AMC account from Amazon can give each client brand a new dedicated instance inside that account, and keep every client in one DataDoe organization with unlimited Amazon connections.

Paid AMC features such as Amazon Insights belong to one instance, so a brand that already pays for them should keep its self-service instance.

Set up

AMC in your AI, in three steps.

No Amazon Ads API registration and no AMC API code. DataDoe handles both.

  1. Connect Amazon Ads

Create a DataDoe account and sign in with Amazon. A Seller Central or Vendor Central account with Amazon Ads works, and so does an Amazon Ads account on its own.

    Connect with Amazon
  2. Enable AMC

On the Accounts page, the organization owner clicks AMC, picks the instance and enables it. DataDoe emails you when it is ready. To run queries, set the account to Read and write.

    Step-by-step guide
  3. Ask in your AI client

Add DataDoe to Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client with this address, then ask your first AMC question. OAuth clients log in for you; the rest pass a key in datadoe-mcp-key.

FAQ

Amazon Marketing Cloud, answered.

Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) is a clean room from Amazon Ads, built on AWS Clean Rooms. Each advertiser gets a private instance where SQL queries run over pseudonymized ad exposures, clicks and purchases, and only aggregated results come out. Advertisers use it for questions a campaign report cannot answer, such as which ads bring in new customers or which campaigns work together.

Amazon offers AMC at no cost to eligible advertisers. Some paid features, such as Amazon Insights, cost extra and are subscribed to per instance in Amazon’s console. In DataDoe, AMC is part of the Base plan at $97 a month with a 14-day free trial, and AMC results are priced in AI tokens from the plan. See pricing.

Advertisers running Sponsored Ads can open AMC through self-service, and agencies can hold AMC accounts provisioned by Amazon. In DataDoe you need an Amazon Ads connection on the same marketplace, for a Seller, a Vendor or an Amazon Ads account on its own.

No. The ready-made templates cover the common questions, and your AI client can run them by name. When you need something else, your AI writes the SQL against your instance’s live schema and validates it before anything runs.

Amazon says most queries take at least 15 minutes, while simple counts can finish in under a minute. Amazon allows 30 on-demand runs a day per instance and 10 at the same time. Reports you need regularly should be saved as scheduled workflows, which do not count against the daily limit.

AMC drops rows with too few customers to protect privacy, so small accounts and short periods return less. Ad-attributed results also use a 14-day attribution window, so run a report at least 14 days after the period ends.

No. DataDoe runs AMC queries and workflows and returns their results. Building audiences and sending them to campaigns stays in Amazon’s AMC console.

It is in open beta and available to every DataDoe organization without a request. The organization owner enables it per account on the Accounts page. Read the AMC guide.
