Duet is Anthropic’s always-on Claude. It brings up what needs you and keeps working after you close the app. DataDoe is how a Claude agent reads Seller Central, Vendor Central and Amazon Ads together, with history and your product costs. Here is what we know about running the two together, and what we are still testing.
Testing now. Anthropic says Duet carries over the apps connected to your Claude account. Whether that includes custom connectors, which is how DataDoe is added, is unconfirmed.
Duet launched as a research preview. The left column is what Anthropic announced. The right column is what we are checking from a US account before we put it in a setup guide.
There is no DataDoe docs guide for Duet yet. The setup that works today is DataDoe in Claude, described in how to connect Amazon to Claude. This page changes as each test is answered.
Duet can reach your Amazon business three ways: by clicking through Seller Central in its own browser, through Amazon’s free plugin, or through a data layer. Each one sees a different part of the business.
| Part of the business | Duet’s cloud browser | Amazon’s Selling Partner plugin | DataDoe |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seller Central, US | Screen by screen, as a person would click | Sales, inventory, traffic and listings for third-party sellers | Yes, joined with Ads and your costs |
| Seller Central, other marketplaces | Screen by screen | Not at launch | All Amazon marketplaces |
| Vendor Central | Screen by screen | No | POs, confirmations, Retail Analytics, Net PPM |
| Amazon Ads | Console pages | No | Sponsored ads, search terms and DSP reporting |
| Profit per SKU | No | No | After fees, ad spend and the product costs you upload |
| History | What a page shows today | What Amazon returns on request | Kept from the day you connect, plus the first load |
| Several accounts | One login at a time | One seller account | Every Seller, Vendor and Ads account in one organization |
| Changes on Amazon | Clicks in your session, with account-health risk | Listing fixes, prices, FBA inbound, for your approval | Listings, prices, orders, shipments and Ads, off until you enable each type |
Amazon’s plugin is a directory connector in Claude and DataDoe is a custom one; you can use both on one account. More on why browser agents struggle in Seller Central.
Duet keeps a main thread and topic channels that share one memory. Give each recurring Amazon job its own channel and one standing instruction, and the conversation about it stays in one place.
Instructions to try once DataDoe is available in your Duet. The chips show the DataDoe data each one reads. They work today in Claude, Cowork and Claude Code.
# amazon
Every morning, compare yesterday’s sales and profit after fees, ads and product cost with the same weekday last week, by marketplace. Lead with the three ASINs that moved most.
# buy-box
Tell me when one of my top 20 ASINs loses the Featured Offer, and the lowest price that still keeps a 20% margin.
# ads
List keywords that spent more than $50 in three days without an order, grouped by campaign.
# stock
Flag any SKU that runs out before its next inbound shipment lands, with the day and the sales it costs.
# vendor
Every Monday, list new purchase orders, units not confirmed yet, and ASINs where Amazon’s forecast is above our stock.
A change to a price, a listing or a campaign passes through Duet, through your connector settings and through DataDoe. Only the last one is ours to promise, so it is the one to rely on while Duet is new.
Anthropic says Duet shows what it is about to do and waits before it sends something sensitive, pays or deletes.
In Claude you choose, per DataDoe tool, whether it runs freely or needs your approval. Whether Duet follows those settings is part of the test.
Every Action type stays off until you enable it, the Amazon account must be set to read and write, any change can run as a dry run, and every Action is logged with what was sent.
Actions stay off until you enable them, most AI clients ask before a change, and every change is logged.
For anything Duet runs while you are away, start with read access only, or Actions as dry runs, and read the log in the morning. How Actions work.
The first three steps work today and give you DataDoe in Claude, Cowork and Claude Code straight away. The fourth depends on the test.
Start the 14-day free trial and authorize Seller Central, Vendor Central or Amazon Ads on Amazon’s own consent pages. The first data load starts right away.
In Claude go to Customize → Connectors → Add, name it DataDoe, paste the address and sign in to DataDoe when asked.
https://mcp.datadoe.com/mcp/v1You need a Claude Pro or Max plan in the US. Invites go out in waves.
When your invite arrives, check the connected apps Duet brought over. If DataDoe is not among them, keep using it in Claude while we confirm how custom connectors work in Duet.
Duet is a US research preview on two Claude plans. DataDoe works as a connector in Claude on every plan, so the Amazon side is ready before Duet reaches you.
| Claude plan | Claude Duet | DataDoe in Claude |
|---|---|---|
| Free | No | Yes, one custom connector |
| Pro | Waitlist, US only | Yes |
| Max | Waitlist, US only | Yes |
| Team | Planned | Yes, an Owner adds it under Organization settings → Connectors |
| Enterprise | Planned | Yes, added by an Owner in the same place |
As announced by Anthropic on 21 October 2026. Research previews change quickly, so check your plan in Claude.
Claude Duet is a separate Claude app from Anthropic, launched on 21 October 2026 and built around Claude Opus 5.5. It works as a proactive agent: it brings up what needs attention, runs tasks on its own cloud computer after you close the app, keeps topic channels with one shared memory, and saves bigger work as files in a Make tab. It runs on iOS, Android and the web.
Not confirmed yet. DataDoe works in Claude as a custom connector, and Anthropic says Duet carries over the apps connected to your Claude account. Whether that includes custom connectors added by URL is what we are testing from a US account. Until then, use DataDoe in Claude, Cowork or Claude Code.
Anthropic says Duet waits before it sends something sensitive, pays or deletes. Whether a write through a connector waits as well is unconfirmed. DataDoe's own gates hold either way: Actions stay off until you enable them, most AI clients ask before a change, and every change is logged. Any change can also run as a dry run first.
Not at launch. The research preview is for Claude Pro and Max subscribers in the US, through a waitlist. Anthropic lists Team and Enterprise as planned. Teams can use DataDoe in Claude, Cowork or Claude Tag meanwhile.
For a single US third-party seller who only needs Seller Central, it may be. DataDoe adds what the plugin does not cover: Vendor Central, Amazon Ads, profit per SKU with your costs, history you keep, other marketplaces and several accounts in one place. Both can be connected to one Claude account. More on Amazon's plugin.
Both are always-on agents that keep working without you. A ChatGPT dot takes a rule per kind of action and can report into Slack or Teams; Duet runs in its own app with channels and a Make tab. DataDoe is the same Amazon data layer under both. DataDoe with ChatGPT dots.
DataDoe costs $97 a month after a 14-day free trial, with every Amazon account included. Your Claude plan is billed separately by Anthropic.
We'll set up DataDoe in Claude on your own accounts and write your first standing Amazon instructions with you.
