The Amazon Vendor Central API, without the SP-API build

Purchase orders, shipments, invoices, remittances and Retail Analytics from Vendor Central, in one documented schema. Read them over REST, MCP or BigQuery, and acknowledge POs or confirm shipments through the same API.

Quick answer

Is there an Amazon Vendor Central API?

Not as a separate product. Vendors reach their data through Amazon’s Selling Partner API (SP-API): the Vendor Orders, Shipments, Invoices and Direct Fulfillment APIs, plus Vendor Retail Analytics reports for sales, traffic, inventory and forecasts. Using it directly means registering as a developer, passing Amazon’s review for each role, handling Login with Amazon tokens, rate limits and report jobs, and storing every result yourself.

DataDoe has done that work once for every vendor. Connect your account and the same data arrives in tables you can query over REST, through an MCP server in your AI client, or in BigQuery. Many vendors still exchange purchase orders by EDI; the API route sits next to it and needs no EDI partner.

Writes, not just reads

Acknowledge POs and send ASNs from code or from your AI.

Each change is an Action: one POST /api/v1/actions with a type and its details, or the same request made by your AI client over MCP. Actions stay off until you enable them, any change can run as a dry run first, and every one lands in your Action log.

  • Acknowledge purchase orders, line by line, with a reason for any rejected line
  • Submit shipment requests and shipment confirmations (ASN), and download carton labels
  • Check the status of every submission with Amazon’s transaction id
  • Direct Fulfillment: acknowledge orders, create and download shipping labels, packing slips and shipment status updates
  • Listings and A+ Content for your vendor catalog, through the same Actions API

What the SP-API asks of you, and what DataDoe takes off.

Building on Amazon’s vendor APIs is possible; we have done it for clients since 2020. Most of the work is not the first request, it is everything around it.

From vendor login to your first rows.

No developer registration, no app review and no report scheduling on your side.

  1. Connect Vendor Central

Create a DataDoe account, authorize DataDoe inside Vendor Central for each marketplace and upload your vendor codes. Seller Central and Amazon Ads connect the same way, and every connection is included in the plan.

    Connect with Amazon
  2. Create an API key

In the app, open Integrations and create a key. Send it in the datadoe-api-key header; the base URL is below. AI clients use the MCP server with their own key or OAuth.

    https://api.datadoe.com/api/v1
  3. Request an export

Ask for any table by its source id, with columns, filters and a date range, as JSON, CSV, Excel, TSV or XML. Schedule it to repeat, or switch on BigQuery and query it there.

FAQ

Vendor Central API, answered.

Not a separate one. Vendor Central data and actions are part of Amazon’s Selling Partner API: the Vendor Orders, Shipments, Invoices and Direct Fulfillment APIs, and the Vendor Retail Analytics reports. DataDoe connects to those for you and serves the results through one REST API, an MCP server and BigQuery.

No. You authorize DataDoe inside Vendor Central, one marketplace at a time, and DataDoe does the rest. DataDoe is already an approved developer, including for the restricted buyer data in Direct Fulfillment orders.

Yes. Actions cover PO acknowledgement, shipment requests and confirmations (ASN), carton labels and transaction status, plus Direct Fulfillment acknowledgements, labels and packing slips. Actions stay off until you enable them, any change can run as a dry run first, and every one is logged. See every Action.

Fresh daily, with key tables updated during the day. Sales, traffic and inventory by ASIN are also available hour by hour. Purchase orders and their status are synced continuously after the first load.

Yes. Any language that can send an HTTP request can call the REST API, exports come as JSON, CSV, Excel, TSV or XML and can run on a schedule, and BigQuery sync lets your BI tool read the tables directly.

Yes. The MCP server at https://mcp.datadoe.com/mcp/v1 gives Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other MCP client the same tables and Actions. DataDoe for vendors shows what vendors ask it.

Yes, in the same schema, so a brand that sells both first party and third party, and advertises, can query all of it together. Every Amazon connection is included in the plan.

The Base plan is $97 a month with a 14-day free trial and unlimited Amazon connections. Buyer data for Direct Fulfillment orders is an add-on. See pricing.
