In short

GPT-6 Astra and DataDoe, in four answers

What DataDoe is
The Amazon data and action layer for AI agents. In ChatGPT it runs as an app that GPT-6 Astra can call while it works, over MCP.
What Astra can read
Orders, settlements, inventory, Retail Analytics, Brand Analytics, Search Query Performance and Amazon Ads, in 100+ tables, with history from the day you connect.
What Astra can change
Listings, prices, A+ Content, FBM shipments and Amazon Ads campaigns. Only after you switch that Action type on, and only after you approve the change.
What you need
A paid ChatGPT plan with GPT-6 Astra, admin rights in your workspace, and DataDoe: $97 a month after a 14-day free trial.
• How a long task runs

One prompt. Six moves. No exports.

Astra doesn’t stop at the first answer. This is how it works through a margin question with DataDoe, from the plan to a change on Amazon, and who does which part.

  1. 1Astra

    Plan

Splits the question into checks it can test: fees, ad spend, refunds, price and unit cost.

  2. 2DataDoe

    Fetch

Returns the quarter’s settlements, orders and Sponsored Products spend, already cleaned and typed.

  3. 3DataDoe

    Join

Lines everything up by SKU and ASIN with your COGS, across every marketplace you sell in.

  4. 4Astra

    Reason

Tests each cause against the numbers and ranks the SKUs that lost money, with the reason for each.

  5. 5DataDoe

    Dry run

Validates the bid, price and listing fixes with Amazon. Nothing is live on your account yet.

  6. 6You

    Approve

You say yes in ChatGPT. DataDoe submits the change and writes it to the Action log.

• Astra or Sol

Two models. One connection.

GPT-6.1 Sol, released at DevDay, comes close to Astra at a fraction of the price. Both call the same DataDoe app, so you pick the model per question, not per setup.

GPT-6.1 Sol

Quick checks

Fast and cheap enough to ask many times a day. Good for lookups with one clear answer.

  • Yesterday’s sales by marketplace
  • Which listings are suppressed right now?
  • ACoS this week against last week
  • Open purchase orders arriving this month

GPT-6 Astra

Deep work

Worth the wait when the answer needs several sources, a plan and a change on Amazon at the end.

  • Rebuild Q3 profit by SKU and explain the losses
  • Where does Amazon over-order against its own forecast?
  • Plan a price and bid change that protects margin
  • Audit a year of search query data for lost share

Either model asks before DataDoe writes anything to your Amazon account.

• Getting the data in

Astra is only as good as what it can see.

A bigger model doesn’t see your Amazon account on its own. There are three ways to put the data in front of it, and only one stays current without you.

• Prompts

Questions worth Astra’s time.

Long, cross-source questions are where the bigger model earns its keep. Copy one, paste it into ChatGPT with the DataDoe app switched on, and watch it work.

Writes run as a dry run first. Nothing changes on Amazon until you approve it.

• Setup

Connected in about five minutes.

Four steps in two browser tabs, done once. After that, every chat in ChatGPT can reach your Amazon data, on the web, desktop and phone.

Before you start: set it up in ChatGPT on the web, as an admin of your ChatGPT workspace. Your plan needs access to GPT-6 Astra.

  1. 01

    Connect Amazon to DataDoe

Sign up and authorize Seller Central, Vendor Central and Amazon Ads on Amazon’s own consent pages. No API keys, no passwords shared.

    About 2 minutes
  2. 02

    Generate your secure URL

In DataDoe, click Generate secure URL. That address is your private DataDoe app for ChatGPT.

    A few seconds
  3. 03

    Create the app in ChatGPT

Turn on Developer mode in Settings → Apps → Advanced settings. Then open Workspace settings → Apps → Create, paste the URL, set authentication to No auth and publish.

    About 3 minutes
  4. 04

    Pick GPT-6 Astra and ask

Start a new chat, choose GPT-6 Astra in the model picker, add the DataDoe app and ask in plain English. Astra calls DataDoe whenever it needs your numbers.

FAQ

GPT-6 Astra and Amazon, answered.

Through an app. Connect Seller Central to DataDoe on Amazon's consent page, generate a secure URL in DataDoe, and add it in ChatGPT as a workspace app with Developer mode on. In any new chat, choose GPT-6 Astra and add the DataDoe app. Astra then reads your live Amazon data whenever a question needs it.

Only through DataDoe Actions, and only if you allow it. Every Action type, such as listings, prices, A+ Content, FBM shipments or Amazon Ads, is off until you switch it on. Prices have their own permission. Each change is validated with Amazon as a dry run, ChatGPT asks before it runs, and every Action is logged.

GPT-6 Astra is available on the paid ChatGPT tiers, from Plus up to Enterprise. To add DataDoe you need Developer mode and admin rights in your ChatGPT workspace. DataDoe itself costs $97 a month after a 14-day free trial, with every Amazon account included.

Yes. Vendor data such as Retail Analytics, Net PPM, purchase orders and Amazon's demand forecast sits in the same DataDoe schema as your seller and advertising data, keyed by ASIN. Astra can compare a vendor ASIN with its seller offer and its ad spend in one answer.

Pick Sol when the answer sits in one report and you want it in seconds. Pick Astra when it has to combine several sources, plan a few steps or prepare a change on Amazon. The DataDoe app is the same for both, so switching models costs nothing.

Dots are OpenAI's always-on agents and run on GPT-6 Astra. A dot can use the DataDoe app if your workspace makes custom apps available to dots. See DataDoe for ChatGPT dots.

DataDoe reads your accounts through Amazon's official APIs and returns only what a question needs. Whether ChatGPT conversations are used for training is set by OpenAI and your workspace; OpenAI states that it does not train on Business and Enterprise data by default.
